Time For A Birthday And Trick-Or-Treating

wpid-img_20141028_141642.jpgFall babies kinda get jipped out of the pool parties my husband and I grew up with as kids since we both have Summer birthdays, but they make up for it in the creativity we get to have with their birthdays! Jude was born on October 28 3 years ago after a LONG day and night of hard labor thanks to having to be induced. Thanks, son! 😉

We celebrated Tuesday evening with a meal out with his grandparents, an evening of gift opening and going to bed late. Yes, he was still awake at the same time the following morning. Mommy can’t ever win with getting him to sleep in. Haha.

wpid-img_20141031_174526.jpg3 days later, it’s Halloween for this youngster! Jude’s request was to be a truck driver since he’s absolutely obsessed with Semis (Tractor Trailers for those of you on the East Coast). Mommy was convinced this costume would be easy, but boy was she wrong! Tracking down the hat was the biggest fiasco I’ve ever seen!!

We found the perfect one on the Mack web page, but didn’t have enough time to have it shipped since my crazy and unexpected stay at the hospital mid-October upset the whole schedule we had going! I ended up finding this children’s size red “trucker’s hat” on Amazon and then used an iron-on transfer sheet to put the emblem on the hat! Jude was thrilled with it and I was happy most people got what we were going for. I was afraid they’d say “lumberjack.” Haha.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween. I’m looking forward to seeing all the blog posts this week!

Thanks for reading,
Katie ☙
