The beginning of my Spring 2010 semester has been just that. Haven’t had a whole lot of free time, and despite my sudden flirtation with Spore, I haven’t been doing a whole lot of gaming either.

Recently at work, they’ve decided to start culling out the employees since our union dictates that we can’t have our hours cut anymore than what they already are. Our assistant manager spoke with everyone, telling us to be on our best behavior, to constantly smile, and whatever we do be perfect because we’re going to get written up/receive formals for every little thing that we do wrong until enough people are fired/voluntary quit for them to reach their labor budgets.

The kicker?

He follows up the above paraphrasing with, “But we’re not trying to create a hostile work environment.” Please. It’s the mentality like that that makes me want to bury my head in the sand like my Golden Retriever:
